Find the jobs worth your time, without giving your job search away.
Job Scout checks 2,800+ company career pages, six remote-job sites, and your own job-alert emails, removes the duplicates, and shows you what's new on one page. With Claude, it reads every job against your resume and tells you why it fits. It runs on your computer, so your search stays yours.
WHY FEWER IS BETTER
Fewer listings. Better jobs.
The big job sites list hundreds of thousands of jobs. Job Scout reads 2,800+ company career pages instead, plus your own alert emails. That's a smaller pile, and it's a better one.
Straight from the employer
Every job comes from the hiring company's own careers page. It's an opening the company posted itself, and the link takes you straight to its application.
You see it early
New jobs show up on a company's careers page first, then spread to the big sites. Job Scout reads them at the source, so you can apply while the pile of applicants is still small.
No slop
No sponsored listings, no staffing agencies reposting the same job, and no sites copying other sites. One job, listed once, by the company that's hiring.
| Compared | Big job sites | Job Scout |
|---|---|---|
| Where jobs come from | Employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, and copies from other sites | 2,800+ company career pages, six remote-job sites, and your alert emails |
| How many listings | Hundreds of thousands | Fewer, and only the ones that match your titles and location |
| Duplicates | The same job, posted again and again | Removed, across every source |
| Paid placement | Employers pay to put jobs at the top | None. Nobody pays Job Scout for anything |
| How jobs are ranked | By the site's own formula | Against your resume and deal-breakers, with a reason for each (with Claude) |
| Who sees your search | The site, and employers or recruiters who pay for access | Only you. It stays on your computer |
| Cost | Free with ads, or a paid upgrade | Free, with an optional Pro edition coming |
The trade-off: Job Scout only reads the career pages in its library, so it won't see every company. Your LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor alert emails cover the rest, and Job Scout merges them in with the duplicates removed.
WHY JOB SCOUT
Most free job tools are paid for by someone else. This one isn't.
Job sites earn their money from employers, ads, or subscriptions, so your attention and your profile are part of the deal. Job Scout runs on your own computer and costs nothing to run, so it doesn't need anything from you.
It works for you, not for employers
No ads, no recruiters paying to reach you, and nobody buying access to your profile. Nobody gets access to you through Job Scout.
Your search stays on your computer
Your resume, the jobs you save, your notes, and where you've applied never sit on someone else's servers. That matters if you're searching quietly.
It reads jobs against your resume
With Claude, every job gets a fit score from 1 to 10 and a plain-English reason, checked against your own deal-breakers like pay floor and location.
One inbox for everything
2,800+ company career pages, remote-job sites, and your LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor alert emails, merged with duplicates removed. No website can see your alert emails. Job Scout can.
A command center, not another feed
It only shows what you haven't looked at yet. Save, mark Applied, track stages and notes, and export to a spreadsheet. "Thank you for applying" emails move jobs to Applied for you.
No account. You keep it.
Nothing to sign up for. The version you download keeps working on your computer, and the free features stay free. Provided as-is.

Company background, the role in plain English, and likely questions for every job in Interviewing.
Reminders for applications that have gone quiet, with a short follow-up note drafted for you.

WHY IT ISN'T A WEBSITE
Because a website would need your data to pay for itself.
A hosted job tool has to pay for servers and AI for every user, so it earns that back with ads, subscriptions, or by selling access to you. Job Scout runs on your computer and uses your own Claude plan if you have one. That keeps your resume and job search private, keeps it free, and means nobody has to sell your attention to keep the lights on.
It also lets Job Scout do things a website can't, like read the job-alert emails already in your inbox and spot your "thank you for applying" confirmations.
WHO BUILT THIS
Built by a job seeker, for job seekers.
I'm Jon Richards. I built Job Scout during my own job search, after a reduction in force, because I was tired of reading the same postings on five different sites and losing track of where I'd applied. It's the tool I wanted. The core of it is free because it doesn't cost me anything to share, and Job Scout Pro will add more for people who want it.
I run UpSkillPros, where I help organizations put AI and better systems to work. If Job Scout helps your search, I'd love to hear about it. Say hello on LinkedIn.
